Skiing is one of my passions; for me, it is a way to relax and not worry about tasks or assignments I may have to complete. However, I am also aware of the continued impact that climate change has on our planet. Eventually, winters will be shorter and bring much smaller snowpack than they used to. I hope we continue fighting for a brighter future for the entire planet. We need to continue to work together to help fight the harmful effects of climate change. One organization that embodies these ideas is Protect Our Winters or POW. They inspire people passionate about the outdoors to become climate advocates, and and attempts to find systemic political solutions to climate change. POW is a great initiative that resonates with my values as it focuses on preserving the natural places that hold immense value and provide numerous benefits to us today and in the future.
